Hello,
I'm a new member from UK. Presently own a Honda CB750 K2 which I bought 2 years ago and am in the process of completely refurbishing her. Have run into a couple of niggles and problems (my first bike project) and have managed to solve them by speaking to more experienced friends and colleagues than myself. But feel I now need a "wider" forum for some of the problems I have encountered. Hope to spend many hours chatting to like minded enthusiasts from all over the world.

Cheers

Hello mate.

Good luck with the rebuild.

You might want to pop in to www.honda-sohc.co.uk for more UK-oriented chat. Same software so looks familiar! Use the same username as it saves confusion.

Do you ever get to Box Hill? Newlands Corner? Ace Cafe?  Where do you go?

Hi Steve,
Yup, cheers for the info about the UK based version of sohc4.
Actually I'm around either Bury Hill or Box hill most weekends. I ride an orange Trumpet Tiger 955i normally. Lovely bike. Had it 5 years now and have NO inclination to change her.
Although I hope to get the CB750 K2 up and running before the end of the year. My goodness, talk about biting off more than I could chew on that one! I seem to be taking 3 steps forward, 2 back, at the moment. I managed to strip the threads on the rear hub on friday night by cross threading the bearing retainer. Never realised those hubs were so soft! Fortunately I've got a mate that owns an engineering shop just down the road from me and he's gonna try and make a tap for it to see if we can re thread the hub. Last night I spent 3 hours looking for the front wheel hub spindle spacer/collar. David silver have none in stock and have tried the usual suspects (John Oldfield and CMS in Holland) but they don't have any in stock either.Any ideas?

Cheers
Rob

Rob, those retainers are difficult to find. I had exactly that problem with my mate's F1.

There are a few Triumph owners on here too! Medic09 owns a Sprint 955i like mine and joins in with the UK forum on http://www.bikersoracle.com/triumphsprint/forum/index.php?

I've just completed an engine swap on mine - now has a T595 Daytona engine fitted! Full story on my Blog (link in signature)

Maybe catch up with you this summer at Box Hill then.

Steve
