a 75-77 goldwing rim is aluminum and it was opoular to swap goldwing front end pieces onto the cb750. I think 77-78 was the year that the goldwing rim itself was interchangable with a cb750 rim.
AFAIK, all GL wheels have a double disc brake setup.QuoteYes but if you were swapping a GW wheel onto a cb750K and didn't have the second caliper then what is the point of having that second brake disc bolted on there. I don't know if the 77-78 K bikes are dual disc but the F bikes are (and have comstar wheels). The GW wheel will take a cb750 rotor (not sure which year rotors) and if you were using the rim on a set of cb750 forks you would need to reuse your cb750 rotor because the brake spacing is different and the GW rotor won't line up with the cb750 caliper. The GW wheel by itself is slightly lighter than the cb750 steel rim (most of the weight in a GW front end swap comes from the added girth of the forks and the dual disc setup).
