Newbie from Texas
« on: June 25, 2008, 12:14:34 PM »
Hi all.  I'm excited to find this forums.  Last night I picked up a '75 750CB that hasn't run since 1994.  I'm about to do a full scale restoration on the bike, I'm excited and ready to get started!

Just wanted to take a sec and do the intro.  Also, here are some pics of the project.

Picked it up last night... You sure found this place in a hurry  ;D

Welcome aboard jeez  8)

The paint on the engine cases looks rather fresh. Did the PO do any work to it that you know of?

No, I literally pulled it out of the back of a storage shed.  He also had a GL1000 in there as well, but he wanted some cash for that one.  It looks like it had 2 new tires just put on it (they are rotten now, though).   I have all the parts and right now, it looks like the only thing that really can't be salvaged is the exhaust pipes.

+1 Howdy from Texas.  Actually, its an ongoing debate as to whether Austinites are actually Texans, but all the same.  Welcome.

Welcome,   What part og Texas are you in?  I'm up in North Forth Worth.  I am always looking for more people in the metroplex.

Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !
