Another electrical problem.. help!
« on: August 29, 2005, 08:23:21 PM »
Sorry for the redundancy but I searched and searched, and couldn't seem to find a wiring diagram that matched my bike so here it goes.
This is regarding my cb750f '75
I keep blowing the Tail fuse whenever the ignition is turned to the On setting. I assumed the Tail fuse is what keeps the lights on all the time? The brake light and turn signals word fine, but no running lights.  It keeps blowing both the main and tail when both of the fuses are in.  The headlight seems to be fine.  Also when Ignition is turned to P, it blows the main. any ideas here? I've been up all night trying to figure it out, now I have no more fuses.

I've posted this before, but for anyone who hasn't seen it:-
replace the fuse/fuses with a 12v bulb. This will light up because of the fault (but the wiring is protected by the bulb) Search for the short circuit which, when you find it will cause the bulb to go out. Repair the fault and replace the fuse.
