Dumb Question Number 3 or Maybe 4 or 5 or 6 or whatever.

;D I'm still pretty new to this board and I appreciate your patience with me however I was told that if you want it done right you ask the pros. My question is this: I have a 1975 CB750K5 and I need a few parts or should I say I would like to replace a few parts on the bike. I also have a 1971 CB500K0. Will the side covers from the 500 work on the 750? How about the wheels? What parts if any will interchange from the 500 onto the 750? Thanks for your help it's greatly appreciated. I've educated myself on one of my other bikes for the last few years which is a Honda Valkyrie Tourer and I've found myself thinking about the CB750 nearly 24-7 here lately.

Sure, if you can weld and know how to do fiberglassing work. ;D

I believe the mirrors, fuses- (Maybe), twist grips, valve stem covers, turn flasher, light bulbs, numerous bolts and screws, oil filter and housing...that's all I can think of off -hand.  :-\

Seems odd you would have two bikes side by side and still ask what parts would crossover ???

I'm pretty sure if they were side by side I could figure it out. I won't be picking up the CB500 for another week or so.

Not many parts will interchange.  They look similar, but are really completely diffferent.  I believe the oil filter housing and bolt are the same, maybe the horn and lights.

The side covers should be available aftermarket.

This is the place to ask. I have both bikes (1974 cb550/750) and really you've already gotten the pertinent advice. For sidecovers you might try www.jcwhitney.com but realize they are not of the same OEM quality (like most of the stuff from JCWhitney). good luck and welcome to the site.
