Push Pull throttle
«

I have a 1975 Honda with a push pull throttle, I'm eliminating the old controls. Can I make a one cable throttle assembly, like off a dirt bike, work on my bike?

You can. But, it may not be smart. If the return spring breaks, can you stop the bike before hitting something or sliding off the cliff?
Darwin can teach you these things.

Well, Are you trying to minimize the clutter on the handlebars or update the old looking switch housings? You can take the controls from a 2000era CBR and put them on there.

Minimalize! All I want is the throttle assembly an AC 125 master cylinder I got off ebay, a new clutch perch/lever and a billet starter switch, everything else I will give away to who wants it.

the kill switch is there in close proximity for a reason.
I've got my push cable disconnected until I can replace the cables.

Right! Cool, so did you have to hook up a spring or do you just push it back?
