Guys, I'm finishing a set of carbs for a friend's 1972 Honda CL350 scrambler and need to check the floats. The factory shop manual refers the mechanic to the "float gauge tool" which of course, I don't have. Can one of you give me the height measurement, please? This bike sat for years and he wanted the linkages, rods, tops, chromed and the bodies cleaned in my soak and ultrasonic cleaner. It's done except for the float confirmation.

         Hey Gordon. I have a Clymer  Honda Service Manual that covers the 125 - 350cc twins and it says that the float height for the CB/CL 350 is 0.75" (or 19.0mm). Hope that helps.
