Best Brand o' Battery?

any advice and/or recommendations welcome before I buckle with frustration and buy the CHAMPION non-premium model at the Strauss just down the block ...

I've always had good luck with Yuasa. Can be had at your local Honda dealer. Just verify demensions for your bike's batt. box.

I've used Yuasa for the last 30 years - never a complaint.

  I like the Yuasa brand. The YB12A-A has more plate area than the standard 12N12A-4A-1. It also has EDTA in it so it can reverse sulfation, if it is allowed to form.

Costs more though.

Most batteries these days are very similar. I just get any 14 amp hour battery even if it does not fit right. The battery leads can be moved! With poor care, I get about 5 years off a battery and never have had a one just go dead on me.

I use Yuasa Yumicron's in my 750s.  I buy them from Tires Unlimited and the last one was $38 delivered to my doorstep.  Here's the link:
