Using ZC006-TR12V coils on my 750
« on: July 20, 2008, 10:39:50 PM »
So after a little searching for these coils i'm not finding much info.
Below is a pic of one of the coils.

Does it look fimilliar to anyone?
Can i Use them on my 78 CB750F ?? Will i need a ballast resistor? Will they have more kick than my stock ones?

I want to use new spark plug wires and with these coils its do-able without major surgery.

From what I can find that's a 3 ohm coil from a KZ of the same era.  There's been some discussion lately about whether or not you should use a resistor when running 3 ohm coils on an sohc4, but plenty of people are using 3 ohm coils without resistors added.  You might want to look for those threads and decide for yourself.  Lower resistance coils do draw more current, but as long as your charging system is up to snuff it shouldn't be much of a problem.
