I got sidetracked on this.  Heffay worked up some changes to the logo.  I need to update the cafe press store and get back to the patch place to get them to quote on the patches and get started mocking them up.  Shouldn't be long.  I'll have more time next week.

and you know what?  those coffee mugs you see on ebay (the one's picturing the cb400f are soooo cool)  but minimum bid is 10 bucks!  and with shipping that makes them over 15 U.S. dollars!  that's alotta dough.

hows aboot some sohc4 stuff for our china cabinet?  preferably less than 15 bucks a pop.

I agree Heff.  I was watchin' a 550K3 mug on eBay UK but it was £10 with postage!  Too much.

There are some great photos on this site - anyone know how to make mugs out of 'em?

Steve, Jessops do them  T shirts and Mugs, the shirts are a horrible nylon material so I would avoid them, don't know about the mugs.
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.

I'll give them a try Mark. If they're not dishwasher safe then I'm not interested!

I've just checked their website www.jessups.co.uk and they sell iron-on printables for t-shirts and no mention of mugs. I guess I'll have to trek down to their shop...

Michel, Chris Boden was going to do exactly that and work up some designs for Glenn. Also Heffay did the work on the logo.

yes, no cost to the person that has them made to sell but they cost for the person that buys them... so at no cost is really untrue.  if its 10 to 15 bucks thats ridiculous.  i'm not a harley rider that gets duped into buying every little chrome plated trinket just because it is for or about my bike no matter what the cost.

Ohhh.. I am.. I am.. What's that you say?  A chrome-ish sticker that has my generic bike on it for only $200?  Can I get 3?  I know at least 2 other fools that will be jealous...

Cafe Press works for tshirts, mugs, hats, and other junk.  There is a Cafe Press SOHC/4 store with merchandise having the current logo.

Why don't we form a small committee of members to help figure out what should be offered and at what price?  I have a 5 month old daughter that  is taking my time these days, so if you wait for me to do this myself, it will be a long while.

If so, I'm in.  A couple more and we can start our own board soon get some of this stuff out there!

My starter-for-ten (sorry, old UK quiz show quote):
T-Shirts with bikes on
Mugs
Mouse Mats with bikes on
Patches.

I set up a merchandise board and gave Heffay along with the other global moderators administrative access.  Right now, members can see the board and post messages.  If you guys want it private, I can do that.

Be sure to check the SOHC/4 website for bike photos that might do well as a source for a design for mugs or a tshirt.

Is there another resource other than Cafe Press?  I had that run of shirts made last year by Carpy and he can do more, but at minimum quantities of 50.  Even though the USPS provides all the mailing materials, it is a pain having to process orders, pack shirts, and get them to the post office.  International mailing costs are also a bit steep with the added trouble of customs forms and the risk of lost shipments.
