August bike of the month... nomination thread
« on: July 02, 2008, 07:11:01 PM »
i'd like to start off by nominating tee-es-ef-el-stub.   ;D

the only reason i voted for okie last month, over tsflstb, was based on the fact that i see what's left of my rust bucket parts bike 74 cb350f... and i see what IS okie's beautifully pristine black 74 cb350f... this month, tsflstb won't be runner up!   ;D

Second that.

Can I second someone and nominate someone else at the same time? If so...

I'm going to have to nominate CharlieT's CB400/RC172 Replica.  Having seen it as a clapped-out piece of crusher bait, I'm amazed at how it looks now.

And one day soon there will be video of this thing and it's wail.  Make sure your speakers and eardrums are ready for it, it's something to behold.

I think the rules state that the nominee must also accept the nomination.

But I don't know how closely we stick to that.

You are right, the nominee is supposed to accept the nomination to make it official, according to the rules. :)

I think the rules state that the nominee must also accept the nomination.

But I don't know how closely we stick to that.

I've tried to stick to the rules as much as possible but there was one contest about 2 months ago that none of the nominees accepted so i just let it go.

the reason for accepting a nomination is to allow the people that are interested... in the site, keep up w/ the bike of the month threads, check in every so often, etc... to ultimately be the winners.  the idea is to keep mister one post from winning something he had no idea of.   ;)

there was also a recent contest that just didn't go... hmmm, wonder what that was all about!?   ;D 8) ;D
after more than a year of setting up 2 threads per month for bike of the month, i get forgetful sometimes  :)
