No More BT45s?
« on: July 03, 2008, 05:03:27 PM »
I posted a while back (like...two years ago) about tires for my 78 750, and am just now getting them.  I was looking on MAW's site for 110/90/19s and 130/90/18s in both Dunlop GT501s and Bridgestone BT45s, and they don't have either of them.  I KNOW they had the BT45s back when I last looked, 'cause I almost ordered them, but does anyone know another place I could get these tires, or if they've been taken mostly out of production given the time that has passed, recommend another tire?

Sorry I know this has been posted roughly 293,829.56 times, but I couldn't find another source on the forum or the internet for this tire, and as far as I can tell, everyone is still recommending these two (thus I can't look for another kind of tire on MAW).

Look at SWMotoTire, they have them at a pretty good price and if you buy two tires, the shipping is free.

I just put a set on my BMW, and I just ordered a set for one of my 750's, so they're still around...

Where did you order them from?

I checked SWMoto.  Looks like a good site, but the trouble is finding the 19" front.  They have the rear 120/90-18 in Dunlop 501s, which I'd be cool with, but no matching front.  The closest they have in Dunlops to matching the front is a 100, which is smaller than stock, and I don't want to put on, even if it does fit.

I ordered them through the shop I work at, South Sound BMW mcy...If you stroll into the Honda shop, you'll be able to order some up.  ;)
