It's a relay system for the headlight, with larger-gauge wiring.  Should help improve headlight brightness, but I have no experience with this.

bert96,

Well I guess it depends on how comfortable you are with wiring. Because it does remove some of the wires between your High/Low beam switch and provide a more direct line between your battery/charger and horn. This will increase the current because of the reduced wire resistance. So if you look through the topics I pretty sure you will find discussion on how to make one of these yourself for nothing more than some wire, connectors, and a automotive relay that you can pick up at your local auto parts store. If you can't find the details, I know that there are several members who can help. Look first, then ask.  ;)

In the "So, I want a loud horn" thread started by Hope, someone linked to the following horn which includes a relay:

http://www.bikerhiway.com/stebel-nautilus-compact-motorcycle-air-horn-black-p-74.html?utm_medium=frgl&utm_source=froogle&language=en

The installation instructions are pretty good, check it out:

http://www.bikerhiway.com/installinfo/Stebel/stebelhorn.pdf

Another useful link from that thread:

IF you're skilled enough to install this, then you can probably put this together for way less than $78 (plus shipping) with parts from the local autoparts store, like SD750F said.

Little research...

Stebel Nautilus is rated 18 amps at 12 volts! That might be a drain on the power system.

If you go to Fiamm http://www.fiammamerica.com/default.asp there are a couple options.

The El Grande is rate 10 amps at 12 volts almost half the power draw of the Stebel.
Or the HK-9 standard buzzer is only 3 amps at 12 volts... And over 100 dB's!!!
