Leo Vince/SITO CB350 Four Exhaust?
« on: July 03, 2008, 12:03:48 PM »
Hello SOHC4 riders!

Anyone here have a Leo Vince/SITO exhaust on their CB350 Four?  I saw an ad this month in Rider which showed the 400F, and they have a model which fits the 350F as well:

Ideally I would find an original 4-4, but this is a pretty good looking setup in the meantime.
Thanks for any advice.

When I got the bike that got to be my racer, it had a SITO system and I must say I wasnt impressed. The down pipes were ok but the silencers were rotten through and through. The 2 to 1 collectors cant help power that much either. Straigth to the bin!

my 0.02$

I have run SITO 4-2 slip-on mufflers on my CB750.  Not a 350 but the mufflers look very similar in construction, especially the lousy 2-1 joint.
As you can see in the pic the 2 and 3 pipes joins perpendicular to the 1 and 4 pipes. This is devastating for the gasflow.

They mufflers are well put together with good chrome. They have a nice sound, quiet but with a nice metallic rasp due to the chamber construction.

In short: nice sound, good looks and good fit, but too restrictive for high power (at least on the bigger 750).

Cheers
Dan

Ooops, also forgot to say that most (if not all) of the SITO slipons mufflers require that you use the stock down pipes!! That means that you´ll have to find a stock exhaust first and cut the stock mufflers off....
Not a great proposition  :'(

Well, that explains why the downpipes in my bike were in such good nick!

DME, your gas tank still makes me drool

I do have the original downpipes on the bike, but someone welded on a glasspack in place of the original mufflers.  Sounds pretty good, but looks hideous.  I wasn't especially thrilled with the collector joint design either, but I can't imagine losing a whole lot of power compared what is on the bike now.

Really appreciate the feedback from everyone, that is exactly what I was hoping to find out.  Price for these is supposedly $316, so I may buy them while I keep searching for an original 4-4 set.

Since you have the original headpipes, why don't you put MIVV mufflers on it?
