So I have been meaning to do this for some time now, but have been to lazy to take pictures and post them. But here it goes.
About two months ago I "inherited" this bike, 1976 CD550F, from my next door neighbor that had passed away. He was the original owner had all the paper work, the works. There is only a little over 5k on it now. So he didn't ride it to much. When he passed, about 10 years ago, the bike sat chained to the concrete pad in his shed with a cover over it, all the gas drained out, fully winterized. So I am lucky that he was smart enough to do that. ha ha.
After die grinding the chains from the bike, and returning it to my house, we pulled the carbs and had them rebuilt, had to get a new battery, and other then that she started right up, no problems. I was actually very surprised.
So here she is. When i "inherited" the bike it was bone stock, so everything that you see done has been done by me or my dad. Clip on bars, custom gauge mount, polished fork tubes, exhaust, painted motor, cut rear springs, custom tail light/license plate frame, fabricated mirror, ripped all kinds of nonsense off the bike, along with the removal of much unwanted gray paint the PO had done all over the bike. and painted/ powder coated pretty much everything that is black on the bike.
As of right now i am working on is rebuilding the wheels with bigger tires, solo seat, battery relocation, along with the air pods, and rear sets.
Sorry for the long write up, just figured i would put it all in there for your viewing pleasure.
