New rider from Washington, DC with a new-to-me 78 CB750
« on: July 06, 2008, 06:43:11 PM »

Hey guys,
Im glad I found this forum, just want to introduce myself here.
I just learned to ride about a month ago and have already logged in 900+ miles on my new CB750  ;D
I got the bike on ebay after doing much research and having no luck locally. The bike was in Wisconsin and the original plan was to have it shipped. As luck would have it, the shipper did not come through so I decided to fly over and ride it back myself. Well, I got back in one piece (though my stomach was doing some nasty backflips on my way out there...). I hit a lot of firsts on this bike on this trip, including my first time above 2nd gear and my first time in traffic  ;D
I love the bike, im totally hooked, and looking forward to learning all about the bike and meeting some fellow riders here.
See you 'round guys,
-fernando

Welcome from another DCer.

Don't forget to go over to the DC region and subscribe to the rides thread.  A few of us have been trying to get together for a run (without success so far).
