NEW TO FORUM
« on: July 07, 2008, 08:13:11 PM »
HELLO ALL,

BEEN READING THE POSTS FOR SOME TIME AND THOUGHT I SHOULD OFFICIALLY JOIN.

LIVE IN E. TEXAS.  FIRST HONDA WAS A TRAIL 90 BOUGHT NEW IN 1970.  MOVED UP TO A CB 350.  BOUGHT A NEW CB 750K3 IN 1973.  GOT A NEW CBX 6 CYL IN 1979.  THE '73 750 IS BEING RESTORED RIGHT NOW. MOTOR HAS BEEN REBUILT AND IS TOGETHER EXCEPT FOR A FEW EXTERNAL PARTS.  FRAME IS NEXT.

GLAD TO BE PART OF THE GROUP AND THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE KNOWLEDGE AND ADVICE I AM SURE TO RECIEVE.

MIKE C.

Welcome to the forum, Micol. I'm a newbie too and have found a lot of people only too willing to impart their knowledge and information here
Are you doing the resto's yourself or getting them done by someone else?

Welcome :)   Hmm, 1 cylinder, two cylinders, four cylinders, six cylinders.  I'm seeing a trend :D

We love pics here, got any?

Are you restoring the 750 to stock, or making some changes while you're at it?

cheers

PLAN FOR THE 750 IS TO GO BACK ORIGINAL.  THE ONLY THINGS THAT WERE EVER REALLY CHANGED ON THE BIKE WERE EXHAUST WHEN THE STOCK ONES RUSTED OUT, AND I LACED UP A 16" REAR RIM WHEN I THOUGHT THAT LOOKED NEAT.  MAY NOT BE A 100 POINT RESTORATION, BUT WILL BE SOMETHING FUN TO RIDE AND LOOK COMPLETELY ORIGINAL.  (THE KID AT THE LOCAL HONDA SHOP ORDERING PARTS FOR ME HAS NOT EVEN SEEN AN ORIGINAL 750, KIND OF MAKES ONE FEEL DATED.)

Try to look at it another way, you now have full rights to laugh when other people start throwing around the phrase "old school" lol.
