« on: July 05, 2008, 06:57:42 PM »

Found this while doing some browsing over on the msn 450Dohc site.   It was under the caption: 1967- 76 Cafeinated Cb450 - 500T

Last time I posted pictures from there, I had trouble keeping them on the thread. This time, they showed up at the very end of that page loading. I don't know what the deal is. Did you ever get to see them?

Hey Kyle.  Yeah, it's got a battery. On the 1st shot, it is in the cavity behind the carbs and in the 2nd shot, he had relocated it in the hump of the seat (like some of our members have done to theirs).

Didn't mean to start anything. :-\  If everybody starts getting and building 450s, they are gonna get more scarce and the prices might go up more. :( That'd be just my luck! ::)

Ill worry when its RDs/RZs  that you are posting man.. But then again you would probably turn around and find a couple Kawi S bikes along the way...

This is one of the coolest smaller bikes I have ever seen.I love the styling. Does the caption just mean its a bunch of different parts off of different year bikes? If so What year is that frame?

Well, I DO have that RZ350 rolling frame and the 73' RD350 ::) Just kidding, not sure just what I'm gonna do with those. As Far as the Kaws, I haven't seen many of those in a while. If I DID happen to find a Kaw Triple Engine (that I could get), I'd see about stuffing it in the RZ frame. ;D

Yeah, it's got parts of several different year models of the 450 and some from the 500T (just a slightly larger 450). Not sure just what parts and where, except for the gastank, which is the Black Bomber tank (could be from 65' - 67'). The frame has had some reworking around the area to the rear of the carbs. I'm interested in the size of the flat plating that was welded in that area myself. I'll see what I can find out about the build. ;)
