CB750 K8 Carb part help
« on: July 11, 2008, 02:49:29 PM »
I've got a K8 with leaking float bowl gaskets. The carbs look just like all the other Ks I've owned  but the parts suppliers I've talked to  say their parts lists only go up to 1976 for Ks. Could I have older carbs stuck on '78 bike? What exactly are the diffrences between the K8 carbs and the earlier Ks?

Yes, you could have different carbs on just about any bike.

The carbs were changed for '77-'78.  The later ones have an accelerator pump on #2, as well as some other, less significant differences.  Parts are definately available.  TAS are good guys to ask.  http://home.comcast.net/~tas-motorsports/Home.html  Sirius in Canada often have Keyster kits.

Can you post pics for us?  Can you tell us the markings from the side of the carbs?
