Funny, I just got back from a ride out into the country. I was going 75 mph at just about the same RPM. If memory serves me right.

the reason I ask is because it will be high when I go for a good ride and get up to 75 80mph,

80mph at about 9000 rpm....... oops... that's in 3rd.  65 at 5700 in 5th.
