First Bike CB500
« on: July 11, 2008, 10:04:52 PM »
Hey there, my name is Nick, im 21 years old and i live in Helena Montana. I just got my first street bike, a 1971 Honda CB500e with 8,547 miles on it. I got the bike for free from my Grandfather In Law. It ran when it was parked 6 years ago and now i have it. The bikes in Excellent condition, its been painted Mustard yellow with silver pinstripes and looks awful. Its going to repainted Gloss black after i get it running again. If anyone knows of any good sites to buy parts from it would be appreciated!

Welcome Toytuner. Sorry I can't be of much help other than suggest you spend some time poking around here and you probably will find just what you're looking for. There's a literal wealth of information and the folks here are top notch anyway you look at it.

Happy hunting!

Don't care for the stripes but the yellow is cool. What are your plans for it after it's road worthy?

first plans after its road worthy are to repaint it, the nasty yellow has gotta go. Im gonna do either Gloss black or a Dark green metallic, i havent decided, the fenders are gonna go and a new set of drag bars are going on along with new front and back tires.
