Parts for top end engine rebuild 71' 500/4
« on: April 12, 2005, 07:22:29 AM »
Hi, I am doing a top end rebuild on my 500/4 and I was wondering if and where I could find a kit that came with everything I needed. This being possibly new pistons and of course rings/gaskets and seals. The bike has over 20k miles on it, so I am not sure of the condition of the pistons. Can anyone suggest where I could find something like this, or point me in the right direction on individual parts and the best deal? Thanks in advance :)

Don't know of any kit that has all of it together, but you should be able to find everything you need from these suppliers.

Go to Harry's "General FAQs" for a list suppliers.

Gordon - if you know of any others that are not on Harry's list, post them and we'll add them.

Now that's what I call a comprehensive list!  I hadn't come across that yet, but I'm glad it's there.  My computer crashed a couple of weeks ago and I lost all of my bookmarked websites.  I was able to remember most of them, but not some of the lesser-used ones.  Here's a couple I can think of that aren't on the list.
