PJ paint for refinishing cases/juggs
« on: July 13, 2008, 06:05:18 PM »
Alright so this topic has been shredded, havent seen PJ paint products covered in threads however. Im new to the site and have found tons of info here, in fact I find myself checking out posts on the clock.....this could prove to be bad. So I just started my first metric restore on a 750k3, got the motor out, top end off, stripped the cases and now its time to pick paint. Want to stick with the silver finish and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the PJ products? There a little pricey but I used the stuff a couple times on dirtbikes and it worked great. Any suggestions?

I used VHT "cast aluminium" brake caliper paint on my engine and I'm happy. can't remember if VHT is a PJ1 product or not  ???

Check out my project build link in my sig. I have some pics of the engine there but here's one:

Seems to be very chemical resistant, but to me, is a little brighter than stock.

 Cheers, Matt.

I know PJ makes a great product, just unsure of matching color. Would like to stick with something as close to stock as possible. Yours seem to be a little brighter, still not overboard.

Where's ya pictures???? we are very visual people we need constant optical stimuli or we get bored and bury your posts! ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
