I was just in India (and that looks like maybe it was there as well), they drive in a manner beyond comprehension. There are no rules. I saw whole families (Dad, Mom, two kids plus another infant) on one bike. The Dad is driving. There is a kid sitting on the tank in front of Dad. There is another kid wedged between Dad and Mom. Mom is on the back riding side-saddle not holding on to anything except the infant. Throw in livestock randomly moving about and constant honking (used as a form of communication between drivers) and you start to get the idea. I didn't see a single accident, but my driver (you have to hire a driver) said he has seen some nasty ones.
No one there seems at all stressed out by any of this!
Oh, and on more than one occasion, I saw trucks driving the wrong way on a divided highway. Local traffic will do that since there might not be a break in the divider for miles. Camel carts on the freeway! Unreal!
