Topic: Yamaha xs mags compatability?

Does anyone know if the stock mags from an XS would fit a cb750f? The front and rear are both disc brakes.

I think the wheels in question are from an xs650.

I think the answer to this question is how much money do you have. If you want it to fit you can make it fit with the right amount of money. What I would do if I were you is I would get one used off ebay and try it. If it doesn't bolt right up then you can go from there. If its not worth it to you to get it machined then you can just sell it on ebay, you might not get all your money back but its possible.

Thanks Void. I know someone who has as set. They look just like lesters...and would probably be a lot cheaper. I was just curious to see if anyone has ever done it before. Thanks for the advice. Depending on how much he wants for them I might give it a shot.

     I have a CB550K with what I think are Yamaha XS, sure they are Yamaha not sure they are XS, Wheels on both ends. This bike is a stalled project so I have not done much with it. It looks to me that the axle diameters are the same. I think that the front is just a little wider that the Honda. In the back spacers need to be made and for my CB550 a brake caliper mount. I have given some thought to using a CB750F swing arm and caliper mount.
     Please keep me up to date if you go a head with this project.

Thanks TomC, Just a brainstormed idea right now. If I decide to pursue it i'll keep you posted.
