78 750F carbs

I Put a new piston and a set of rings in my 78F( #4cyl ) put it back together and bummer it started spitting small amounts of oil out if the #3  exhaust port w/ the exhaust. off and the damm thing would'nt idle below 2000  rpms . Wha do I need to do cause I took the eng. back out and the carbs are off, what bench settings can I doto the carbs  >:(?

I have had problems with carbs after taking them off and jiggleing them around a bit. You may jwant to flush out the slow jets. crud may have been dislodged or something like that...hapens on car carbs all the time

the only real bench setting that i know of is the pilots screws set at 1 1/2 turns out

I cleaned the carbs by taking off the bowl covers took off the floats
,metering valves, main jets and what ever they screw into and cleaned the heck out of them. I just never messed with the insides and havent made any adjustments Please HELP!
