Speedometer trip knob
« on: August 26, 2005, 06:04:44 AM »
I have a 1974 Honda cb750 with a speedometer that has a metal plate where the trip knob should be.  What gives? My 1972 had one.  Help the new member please.  Thanks.

Mine was missing when I bought my bike.  I couldn't find one or anything else that would work, so I made one on a lathe.  It looks really nice and blends right in with the metal speedometer housing.

SOME REAL STUPID PRAT HAS BROKEN MINE OFF!!  >:( (Speedo trip knob that is ;)). It happened the other day while the bike was parked at work i think. All I have now is a broken metal spikey bit sticking ou the side. Irealised I'd have to do somthing to at least stop water getting in but has any one any ideas on how to repair it. I'm still looking for the end bit in the car park.
