I decided to waive the acceptance process again this month... should we do away w/ it altogether?
freezingprocess and hymodyne would not be included in this month's contest had i gone strictly by the rules.

I think we need to keep the acceptance process to ensure that only currently active members make it to the voting (and winning) phase of BOTM.  It should be left up to the nominators to notify the nominees so they can accept if they so desire.

Dang!

Another ball-buster of a situation regarding choices. But I guess that's what makes these polls interesting..right?

Anyway..after watching Chopstar's evolution of his build..and quite frankly..the exceptionally superior attention to detail and style..I simply couldn't vote for any others on this month's SOHC 4.
[That's a lucky buyer who bought it from Chopstar..I feel]

But..run some of those others again..and I'd vote for them as bike of the month..in all probability.

Chopstar's tank says FourPack.  I believe in honor of the Honda 4 cylinder design.

I figured I should vote for chopstar's bike since I nominated it, but I wish I could throw hymodyne a mercy vote because of how much work that fairing must have taken, and in light of his recent engine explosion.

Now, let me get this straight. We only get one vote? With ALL these fantastic choices and yet we only get ONE vote! ::) ;D Nothing like making things tough, huh? :D I'm gonna really have to do some serious work, trying to get it down to just one! :( ;)

                                   Later on, Bill ;)

Yeah, I also think we need the "acceptance rule", but at heffay's discretion, I don't see why (depending on the circumstances) there can't be a little leaway now and then.

You can vote as many times as you want, Bill.  But only the last one counts! ;) ;D

I think the possibility of leeway in accepting a nomination will just lead to people not bothering to accept, and then we're back at square one.  The "accept your nomination" rule either needs to be followed or discarded.  And like I said before, everyone can make it a lot easier by just PM'ing the person they've nominated and tell them they need to accept if they want to be in the running.  How hard can that be?

As many times as I want, huh? ::) So, I can be as free as I want, on the voting, as long as I stay with ONLY one at the end, right? ;D Okay, if THAT"S the way it has to be.

Yeah, you are probably right about the acceptance thing. some Folks DO tend to get a bit lazy when given some slack on some things.  When I have nominated someone myself, I sent them a PM to let them know and, on occasion, I have checked first to see if they, in fact, want to be (or are ready for the bike) nominated. So, yeah, No Leeway! ;)

                                Take care, Bill ;)

Again all very worthy, and a tough choice.... I bet five of these bikes will be in the running again over the next few months.

Great News!!! Webb (LoudPipe) is the proud new owner of FourPack! He picked her up on Sunday and already has over 100 miles on her! Great guy and the bike fits him perfectly - how cool it must be to pick up a new SOHC that is in the running for BOTM.  ;D

Hope he enjoys her & takes the August trophy!!! Good luck Webb!!!
