Another 750K Cafe
« on: June 14, 2008, 08:02:29 AM »
Okay, I finally got enough pictures and had a friend (who is in some of the pics) help be put them into photobucket. Hopefully I can get this right on the first try.

Here is the bike really early on (well last summer)

Here is how it sits as of last night (finally all wired, just needs paint)

Here is a pic of my handlebars (the mini dash is pretty cool. The headlight/speedo just look off-center because of camera angle).

Fine, I look like a turd...but hopefully this will be me on the road in the near future

Have you ridden with those handlebars yet? How do they feel?
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

Thanks everyone. It has taken about 18 months. Between being married, going to law school full time, work (any my buddy working and going to school too), there hasnt been alot of time to get it all done. But I'm just about there.

So, did you start and end with the same gas tank?  I can't tell.  Otherwise, great looking bike!

Love that tail piece, some good looking metal work there, or is that painted to look like its all metal

Is that a clubman bar or some other kind? I'm thinking of ordering one for my 550, but am a little worried it might be too uncomfortable to ride like that, but I guess if everybody else has em, it can't be that bad right?

Honda!: Yes, that is the tank that came with the bike and for some reason we (my buddy and I) didnt mind it. There was once a flip top latch but that was gone before it got to me. We are going to lead fill the area where the latch used to be so it looks better and lasts longer than bondo.

Troppo: The tail piece and tank have not been painted yet.

Dave: Yup...They are clubmans (however, my triples are off a 79ish 750 so most clubmans wouldnt fit (not wide enough in the center. First pair wouldnt work). Had to get some with a wider center.

When you say triples, is that a name for the measurement of them in some way? Just wondering, I'm new to the CB scene  8)

Those tires are tits!  Did you paint the white letters, or get 'em like that?  They're awesome.  And that tail piece is killer.  Great job dude

Did those tires fit the stock rims? I wonder if Pirelli sells a pair like that that would fit my 550...

Those are some nice looking tires. What's the story on the exhaust? Just a Mac w/ wrap? Where's the gauge cluster from?  Rear sets would probably help with the clubman comfort issue. Looks really good, Well done!
