What flasher bulbs.. in my cb550k1
« on: July 20, 2008, 07:34:14 AM »
trying to find a part number so i can go to my local parts store and they can hand me the flasher bulbs that i need.

i used the fiche.. but it says: 12v23w32cp

however.. the bulb i pulled out of there was a stanley 1129 and after a little googling i found it to be a 6V bulb.. not a 12.  of course it was blown.  I have a feeling that 12v is probably the correct bulb but I'm looking for someone to tell me that owns one.

Thanks in advance!

just go to your local car parts place and get a 12 volt 21watt bulb (the average here in aus) that looks the same, shouldnt cost more than a couple of $`s

So in summary, is there a modern equivalent to these bulbs, and are they still sold as 1034 and 73?  I can't find them.

If you put in "1073 bulb" into google, it lists several sources, as does "1034 bulb".

http://www.donsbulbs.com

Will even tell you the specs on them.

They are still available.  "Locally stocked" is a different issue, that doesn't have much to do with availability.

Very good site, but his prices are a bit high.  $6 for one bulb?  http://www.interlight.biz has them for less-gasoline like $0.98.

great stuff.. i'm quickly learning that TwoTired a SOHC guru and for that i'm thankful.

I'm also thankful that he responds instead of posting "search or google" like some other boards.

Thank you to the rest as well.  My baby is coming along!

Get my motorcycle permit friday.. and i want to try and get this baby roadworthy real soon!

So i'll be ordering my correct bulbs and then i'll try and trouble shoot the entire lighting wiring.
I <3 these forums.

on a side note.. i just found a lot of qty 10 #1034 for 3.29 buy it now + 3.49 for shipping.. so i'm gonna get 10.. and only need 2.. maybe three depending on how deep in beers i get.
*edit* got the 1073's as well.

anyone needs one.. pm me.
