ELECTRICAL QUESTION-Light question
« on: July 20, 2008, 08:15:33 AM »
I just had a new front and rear tire installed as well as chain and sprockets.

I don't think that the new stuff installed and my problem could be related but it never hurts to ask.

After a ride this am I noticed that the oil light and the neutral light did not come on when I turned the key.  So I checked the fuses and replaced them even though all looked good and the the lights did not come on again.  So I took the bike back out and found they did work intermittently when I would stop the bike and check.

I cannot see how the work and the problem could be related but they worked fine before I took it in.

Seems to me it would be a ground issue since when I push the starter button on the handlebar switch they light up.

ANY SUGGESTIONS AND HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

I don't know if the warning lights on the 750 are the same as the 400 or not.  Try looking up a wiring diagram.  The oil pressure and neutral lights on mine are fed power through the ignition switch and the light comes on when the sensors close and complete the ground side.  If you have a test light, check for power at the lights with the ignition on.  Both lights may get their power side from the same connection.  It could be loose and causing a problem with both.

What Joel said is only answer for both not working
