swingarm savvy needed

I Have a 72 CB500 and read somewhere that a 750 swingarm is 2" longer than the 500 and will fit right on the stock 500 frame is this true? If so what year 750 will work. I was planning on adding up to 3" to the swingarm but if a 750 arm will give me 2" I'll make do. Thaks in advance for your thoughts.

Not sure about the 750F's but it's the other way around with the K's, the 500 arm is a little over an inch longer.

I just measured my '76 CB750K vs. my '77 CB750K.  The '76 is about 19 1/4" and the '77 is about 21" (I knew there was a difference in wheelbase, I just didn't know where it was).  I measured from the back end of the swing arm (not including the "axle locker") to the center of the swing arm bolt.  Not a terribly scientific measurement (angle of tape, obstructions, etc.) but pretty good for reference.

Well I'm sorry I thought all the K arms were the same, but only through 76 it appears. Using GammaFlat's measurement the 500/550's are 20.5"
