CB400F headlight bucket and gauge plate
« on: May 19, 2008, 08:09:14 PM »
Well, one of the previous owners changed the headlight, brake light, turn signals and converted the forks to a longer chopper-style length among other things.  I'd like to try and return some of this stuff to stock.  I'm planning to start with the headlight and the missing gauge mounting plate.  I'd like to try fabricating them myself in fiberglass to get some experience with the stuff.

Can anybody help me by making up some sketches with basic dimensions for these two parts?  Perhaps even have a broken housing sitting around that I could model off of?

Was the housing shared with any other SOHC4s?

I found this thread that suggested the 350F bucket is the same size.

I've been wading through search results for the last hour or so looking for a thread with a custom set of headlight brackets.  I believe they were some sort of band clamp with a triangular piece of flat stock attached.  Can anyone steer me towards the thread?

Yea, I've seen the site a couple of times.  He's got great stuff.  :)  Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for it right now.

Found it!   :P  http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=27159.30
