I'm planning on painting my tank this winter. Any thoughts on what kind of paint holds up best to gas, not that I ever spill any. I tried the rattle can approach last winter, and the results were less than stellar.

The best thing to do would to have it professionaly done if you can afford it.

He used Laquer, but I've heard Enamel is more fuel resistant.

Also...if your tank is going to be off ans out of commission anyway you should POR-15 the inside of your tank.
If your going to spend the money on painting a tank dont you want it to last as long as possible?

Powdercoat? I have a freind that powdercoats, i didnt know you could use that for tanks......hmmm......so you powdercoat it then, polyurethane it?

YOu don't need to.
If it looks a little wavy you can wet sand and buff.
