Just curious why you are putting two coats of primer on, what you were planning on using for a top coat, and how you were planning on applying the top coat? I'm a professional housepainter and we never use two coats of primer unless we are trying to block really bad stains that bleed through the first coat. For priming woodwork we always use a product by Zinsser called "Cover Stain" and it works great. It's an oil based primer, which sucks to clean up and you need a black china bristle brush, but it works better than any latex primer we've come across.
What color are you planning on painting the woodwork? If you are going with white, I would recommend a paint called "Pro Classic" from Sherwin Williams. It is a #$%* to work with because it loves to sag and run after about 15 or 20 minutes (just long enough for you to forget to go back and check it), but it gives you the hard, durable, and beautiful finish of an oil paint without all of the messy clean up.
Let me know if you have any questions...
