*Genuine* Keihin pilot jets?
« on: August 22, 2015, 04:54:54 AM »
Where can I get real-live, genuine Keihin pilot jets for a CB550? I'm looking for a 35 pilot.

I contacted SiriusCon and asked if these are "real" Keihin:

http://www.siriusconinc.com/pro-detail.php?pid=&product_id=1945

 4into1.com has "Keyster-Keihin" jets:

And they also have "replica" jets:

or email J T Marks  jtmarks@hvc.rr.com

They don't exist...I'm 99.99% sure of that. I was looking for a few weeks all over last summer. Sirius has aftermarket. If you do end up finding a resource, let me know!

Yes they do, look here:

Scott - I recently had a similar issue with my '74 Kawasaki H1 500.  Used aftermarket brass in the Mikuni carbs and bike ran bad after a complete motor rebuild.  Install [used] genuine Mikuni brass and made the world of difference.
Bike screams now!
Good luck.

You can also change the part number and get them through honda

99124-076-0380 is the stock #38 jet
99124-076-0350 would be a #35 jet

I have found all honda jets work this way, it may not be the cheapest route but if they are an odd jet sometimes this trick works to get them

Those say up to 1976. Doesn't include the PD46C for the 1978. Not sure if these would fit.

Edit: Wait, I thought we were talking only the '78 550. My bad.
