how do you stop clutch drum from spinning?
« on: July 25, 2008, 02:46:35 PM »
Hello all.
This question is for a cb 750 K7. I have to torque the inner nut of the clutch drum to a 4.0 torque. I tried to stop the drum putting the engine on first gear and pushing the rear brake pedal, but it doesn't stop the drum quite well, it feels spongy. How do you guys stop it? Thank you.

Try 5th gear.

Yup +1 on the fifth gear. Trans shaft has less leverage against the brake.
