What seats will fit a 71 CB500. I have been told conflicting information. On the one hand, I have been told that seats from CB500/CB550s will fit up to 1976. On the other hand I have been told that only a 71 CB500 will fit. Which is right? Also, if I decide to have it reupholstered, will are the covers interchangeable?
I have been reading about a place in Florida called Sargents that does re-upholstery. Would that be a better route to go since my seat needs to be completely rebuilt (new cover, foam, chrome trim, etc.)? I have also found a NOS replacement seat on ebay, but it has a plastic seat pan and it is $300.
