Only had my 350F for a few weeks - last week it suddenly developed a nasty clanking when coming off the throttle in top gear... sounds like the chain is hitting something (just for a second or so) but I don't think that can be what it is. I've tightened the chain and added a 1" spacer between exhaust and centre stand to give plenty of clearance. Took casing off to inspect around front sprocket - there doesn't seem to be anything that can be fouling any part of the chain.
Strange thing is it 'clangs' only in top gear, at any speed/revs, and only when decelerating. It never makes this noise in any other gear.
I'm fresh out of ideas.
Anyone else had this problem?
Or any ideas what it could be?
Hope someone out there can help!

Wouldn't problems with the cush drive have an affect in all gears? (Just guessing, I don't really know for sure.)
I'm wondering if it's something in the gearbox affecting 5th gear performance.
Or maybe something to do with the clutch??
