Will 1972 HONDA CL450 fork tubes fit a 74 550K

Will 1972 HONDA CL450 fork tubes fit a 74 550K? All I need is the tubes my lower legs are real nice. If not what years and models will fit. I'm trying to get rid of the 6 over front end. Tattoo

I know the 70 CB 450 will fit  on a 750, but is about 3/4 inch or so shorter, probably lighter springs.. so I would say You can use them on a 500/550...

 Just remembered 750 forks changed after 72, so not sure about yours.. if 3 bolts hold the caliper bracket, they probably have different style tubes internally than the  72 tubes....

Yes ,physicaly but the dampers wont work right as the 450 has no bush welded into the bottom
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!
