Hey guys not been on for a wile all i need to know is what size helicoil tap do i use for helicoil is it a M14 not quite sure

helicoil taps are specials not standards
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

They are replacement thread inserts for use when the original thread gets stripped - all too easy to do with aluminum. Drill out the old thread, run a tap through the hole and screw in the insert. They come in different sizes. Google 'helicoil' and you'll get loads of info.
