In many states, it is a motorcycle.  And I want one.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

Here in BC it is considered to be a 'three wheeled motorcycle'. If you chose to 'ride' one and get your licence you would have Restriction 51 which would mean that you could only 'ride' a three wheeled wheeled motorcycle, be it motorcycle with sidecar, trike or Can Am Spyder.....or this.

Nick, I am assuming my having a BC 5 & 6 allows me to ride any of the above?? You are talking about a rider without MC license, getting one to be able to ride the above?

When i rode the Spyder and was registering, the nice girls asked if I had my Biker License... I politely informed her it is actually a motorcycle endorsement or license..

Hrm, the tilting action is hydraulically controlled by computer which determines proper lean angle.  Not sure I like that idea.

So, what's the advantage of this thing over a standard car. motorcycle, or trike?

I know it's not a motorcycle, but for $1000 less than that thing costs you can buy a 2008 Corvette that has 430 HP and gets over 30MPG.  And the Vette has air conditioning.

I'm fine with drive-by-wire or fly-by-wire systems in general.  The fact that this thing needs them is what worries me.

Having the 6 with no endorsements gives you the option of riding/driving(?)/piloting(?) anything considered to be a motorcycle: motorcycle + sidecar, trike (engine front/converted motorcycle; engine rear/converted car), Spyder etc etc. If you start your licencing career riding one of these then you are restricted to riding any three wheeler.

I agree with the sentiment, like the 750 because there is nothing on it I could not repair/replace if I needed to.  I would need to feel comfortable paying someone to fix something like the Carver.

One of the reasons I sold my S2000 was all it needed was driving and washing.  It didn't need me  ;)

In what dream world is that Corvette going to get over 30mpg?  Steady 55mph driving with a 55mph tailwind on the salt flats?  "Your mileage may vary" is the single most important line in just about any car ad making mileage claims! . . .It was a bit disappointing to read that the 600cc engine in this "streamlined" design didn't at least yield better mileage or better performance.

It's not a dream world.  My last Vette got 31MPG at 85 MPH.  In town it was just under 24 with an average of 27.  If you drive it like you stole it, it will certainly go down, but 30* MPG in a Vette is not at all uncommon.
