Speedometer Gear broke, what options are out there

My speedometer gear broke. I found a replacement but was curious if there were any options on changing the gear for a different one. Say a 2:1 or 2240:60 so that i could get some different gauges. I have a 750f so I'm pretty much limited to the ones on the bike and changing the faces.

Not sure what bike you have, but it does not matter much.
Pretty well all speedos of that period and most now have the ratio of 2240rpm =60mph or 1400=60kph.
You could nearly use any speedo of any bike.
Beware of tachos though

ok well i bought a speedo gear but when i went to hook up my cable there is no way to fit it together. The cable and the gear both have a shaft sticking out. Am i missing a piece?
