So I got a minor problem. I have managed to beat "leaky carbs" and I even got all the lights on my 75 750 F working. Here is the problem. Mu starter button doesn't want to work as factory wired. The Y/R wire that runs from the starter solenoid to the button is "dead". That means when the control is mounted on the handle bars, the button is dead. To make the button work, I remove the control, run a hot wire from the pos side of the battery to the body it activates the solenoid and starter. I have no idea if this right or not, but here is what I want to do since clearly fixing it properly is beyond my very limited wiring skills. Why cant I run a "jumper wire from a keyed hot lead at the the electrical junction below the neck, hook it too the Y/R wire, pack it all up and enjoy my new starter button button?
In case I missed any pertinent info...the bike runs great, everything works other than the button.
