Triple tree question for Cafe project..
« on: August 04, 2008, 06:04:47 AM »
'Morning lads,

The greenest newbie ever here (see intro section)...

Having spend 2 full days at mid ohio for the Vintage Days, I saw a few CB cafe bikes that were using clip on bars and the top of the triple tree was a nice machined (flat) plate rather than like our stock one. Does anyone know if these are available or is there just a modern sport bike that is commonly robbed of its top plate due to a matching size?

I would have thought it was a custom piece, but I saw them on a number of cb350 and 550s too.

Any help would be great!

MG is about 20 minutes from my house...if I drive slow.  I still haven't made it in there to see what he's got.  They were closed the last time I was up that way.

I see that is listed for a CB 350, would it still work with my CB 360?

Silly question, but if you people are sliding the forks UP in the triple trees... What kind of clearance issues with the tires are you having on your lower fork crown?

Just out of curiosity, what do you use to make the plugs?
