Thanks cap'n!
I still need to swap to another set of carbs I have to alleviate a sometimes leaky carb 3 and hinky choke on 3/4, make/get a short front fender (still considering making it in carbon fiber), replace the hi/low switch for the headlight, re-paint the left side electronics cover and put on my cool GreenJeans badge, and then drill the front rotor and install a braided brake line.
Other then that, she's done (for now) ;) oh yeah, I wanna do the seat pad over and.........
Like I said, I need a job

cafe elite-
The seat is a hardwood base that's mitered and the hump portion is shaped foam that the PO then covered with fiberglass, then the whole kit and caboodle got the bed liner treatment. I need to re-do the seat pad, it is more wood then foam right now. I am going to do a humpback style pad with snaps along the back for old school flavor when I get a good deal on some better quality marine padding and some gray leather.

Glad ya like it, even though it and the bed liner are the only 2 things on the bike I didn't do ;)

While I think the tank to seat has a great flow and think the bed liner is cool im more impressed w/ the engine paint. Over all the bike fits together really well, top marks for that. I will say im not a huge fan of the exhaust though, think something like a supertrapp would have fit\looked better. Im not feeling the license plate location either but to be honest that apply to the location and not your craftmans ship.

Thats what I love about the cafe scene.. most of use dig the same basic flow but every bike has the little touchs that bring out the owers personality.

Again, amazing bike.

Cool looking bike, a true hooligan.
Great job!
You have to tell the story of this stop light though!
And a picture of it lighted would be nice

Any chance you can give me some details on your left side cover? Just plain old sheet metal?  How'd you mount it? Pics would help me tremendously!
Thanks again for your help...REALLY digging the bike!!

Sound Clip with slip on? Please!?!? Any videos at all anywhere?

Thanks for the compliments  ;D

The left side cover is just sheet metal, it is held in place on top by a pair of rubber trimmed 1" "P" clamps (under $1 each @ home despot) and uses a bolt through the chain guard tab on the bottom. I also dummied up 2 of the P clamps on the right side and use them to level out and add some shock absorption to the plywood based seat.

I plan on doing some detailed pix of the seat, side cover, electrics and my new brake anchor, but not today since it is 50+ degrees out and I am off on the bike to the nearest IMAX theater to see The Watchmen  :) and then drop my resume for Service Manager to the local Hardly Dangerous shop.

OK, it's been a while since I updated and I still haven't stopped F'ing with the bike (wonder if I ever will? maybe when I get project fo fiddy underway...)

She has been running great, but after the bike took a tumble off the kickstand out in the snow late January it got a crease in the generator cover and developed a leak. Thanks to Seaweb I got a super clean cover with a perfect field coil and stator at a sweet "bro deal" price (I owe ya one!).

I painted it up all pretty and installed with fresh Honda gaskets for both the gen and trans covers, and popped some more holes in the front sprocket cover while I had it out.

The finned covers came from the for sale section here, and were pretty rough (especially the stator cover), so I filed the upper and lower most fins off and re-shaped the rest of them so they were flat on top and tapered off at the edges and I painted them with wrinkle paint and sanded down the fin edges.

Here are the finned covers on the other side, and you might notice I geeked out and did the kickstarter, starter cover, brake and shift pedals in the wrinkle black as well.
Dig on the 2 for $5 led flashlight pegs too  ;)

I also got a front fender from Carpy which I am up in the air about how to finish (rhino liner? semi-gloss black? gray? who knows, I will figure it out in the 4 more weeks it is going to take to get my Tarrozzi fork brace) so I am just rocking it in the gloss black gel coat it came in.

Other totally ghey details I did lately include the red fuel lines, and a few other bits I can't quite remember.

Here are some shots from today between the rain storms
