Badasses Don't Drink Lattes

Just heard this on NPR and thought others here might like it.

Day to Day, August 6, 2008 · Writer Marcos McPeek Villatoro recently bought a Harley — not unlike the one his father and mother drove across the country before he was born. But, tuckered out after a short ride and an espresso-stop, he realizes he'll never be as cool as they were.

Heard just the tail end of that Tuesday or Wednesday.  When he said they stopped for Latte's I laughed so hard it hurt.

Can't decide which is worse - doing it, or admitting it.

I heard that segment on NPR while driving home from Ohio. I did have to chuckle a bit. They had sore posteriors after 40 miles and on top of that, they were exhausted and had to turn in early that evening. Wait, not finished yet, they woke up sore the next day. ::)

Hell any given night riding with LSR we put that much on our bikes in 30 min of a 2 hour ride

Yeah, I was thinking 40 miles was a test ride after a major maintainence day.

i used to ride my 750 when it had 10 degree clipons and rearsets 45 miles each way when i was going to AMI. did it 5 days a week then 100-200 mile excursion on saturdays.
 i never really got sore.
