Wehuu! Got a new project. Cb750 77'
« on: March 10, 2013, 01:35:22 PM »

So I bought this Honda today. The bike should be complete. My plan is to disassemble the engine cause it had probably done 100.000 km without any prober renovation. And I think the svingarm is wider on this one so that I will use on my other cafe project.

The alu wheels from the other bike will come on this one.

Looking forward to getting closer with this one :) anyway just wanted to share it with some Honda lovers.

Price was 950 dollars. Seems pretty cheap in my head. Opinions ?

Thanks

High miles, but good price, and the frame and tank look in good shape.

Lost on of the oil restricters in the cleaning proces, bummer! So made a new one on the lathe, the right on, pretty nice work if I have to say it myself :)

Head cleaned and ready for a valve job.

Got the ports polish a bit by a friend, seems like it couldn't hurt.

Crank would be milled down in the lathe, don't know how much yet.

Wheels is away for blasting and powder coat and new spokes is order from cmsnl.

Calibers is blasted and ready for paint.

Nice to get started with the project.

The shop is ok I guess, basically it's a store room but we cleaned it up and got a mc lift and som tables, we are 4 guys building mc's and we had a lot of beers meanwhile :)

Today I tried to lightened the crank, but found out after that the weight I was using was very sensitive to where I lay the crankshaft, so I got no exact measurement what I weight in stock, do you ?? I got 9,753 KG and when I was done I was on 8,948 kg

My goal was 1 kg, so I thing I will take a bit more of the outer edge so I will be smaller I diameter to get to 8,700 kg . That would be awesome :)

How much weight have you guess tried to take of ??
