had to go with the euro bars so I could reach them, must have short arms, it's a bit of a stretch now, drag bars were quickly discounted

sorry soos, they were stock Z footrest hangers that I attacked with my junior engineers kit

. might make some of my own oneday but they do give the agricultural look that is the goal

Just got back from 40 miles of backroads,

bike going real well, beautiful sunny day.

only puttering around the back roads at the moment, doing about 100K a day, gone to 10w belray in the front and firmed up the rear suspension, this has improved the stability when encountering rough sections in corners. now that I'm reving her more, it's apparently running a tad lean so shall change jetting on the weekend.

Too bad they opted not to go with them on the US models.

Well, if you find a set...see if they have two. I haven't been able to find anything for the Z model, and I'm really thinking I want rearsets on my 650.

sorry, can't comment on those univerals but don't see why they wont work.
as an update to the "munters" running, I'm up to 120 mains now and she is pulling nicely up to 9500rpm but then has a slight hiccup there, so I'm real close on the jetting and may try a carb sync now.

What is it... 3% power loss (roughly) per 1000 ft up?
....
That means you ride with about 13% more power than me(4500 foot), and when I'm up on the mountains(9-11 ft.), you get roughly 27% more power...

well a small update and confession to make. the bike has seemed to be losing it's tune, time to do something about it. and what this shade tree mechanic found was the carbs were out of sync, someone(me) hadn't tightened the locknuts up on #1 carb, #$%*e

Looking at some of the conditions our American brothers have to put up with i would say you should be riding all year round, i certainly would if i lived over there....

well the gods have shat on me. blew a hole out of no2 header. tried a bit of braizing on it but 30 year old pipe disentegrated.

but on a bright note I have a local company making new headers, should be ready in 2 days. they are also interested in building me some 4 into 4's

Well we are experiencing a very mild summer, more like an extended Spring followed by an early Autumn..........if that is possible.
Fingers crossed that our Summer will do the decent thing and kick in late and stay a while.
There's some great things coming up for bike riders around the country.

I've got 4 weeks off at the end of this working week and intend to spend a lot of it on my bike, hopefully the Jaffa cycle will be cured by then too.....have you seen her paint job?
