Exhaust cross-compatibility?
« on: September 12, 2009, 08:53:49 PM »
Does anyone know if the 4 into 1 exhaust for an '83 550 Nighthawk would fit on a '74 CB550 K series bike?

Thanks, -K

Probably not without some sort of fabrication!!

What kind of fabrication?  Bracketry, or header to exhaust port refabbing?
That could make a huge difference.
Thanks again, -K

well you'd need a LOT of effort and money.  DOHC parts dont generally fit onto an SOHC without at a minimum SOME fab work.
These bikes dont die, they hibernate until the right person wakes them up again.
